Look at him go!

Ok..in the last post I said that M takes about 6 steps at a time...but we got home today and he went gangbusters. Keep in mind this kid is sick...and he has NOT been interested in walking at all up to now. When Scott and I would have him walk from one of us to the other, he would try to hold on to one until he could reach the other. It's like there was no practicing; he just started walking.

On another note, I know that as Matthew's mama I am biased in thinking he is super cute. And while he often gets compliments about how cute he is, those comments are typically coming from other mamas, relatives, and friends...so kind of to be expected. However, I have found it very interesting how many men....strangers to us...have gone out of their way to give M a compliment. Manly men. Construction workers. Garage door installers. Tile layers. Electronics salesmen. All with a taken aback "WOW, he's a good looking kid" kind of statement. It's a funny thing for someone to be so cute and not even know it!

Watch out world....here he comes! :) And, you're right, he will probably be the kid who also doesn't say anything for awhile, but then starts speaking in full sentences!! :)

Uh-OH! You know what comes next...Its the "unlocking the door and running out into the yard" naked thing!

I love when people stop to tell me how beautiful Mary is- usually in front of all the other children..So I say," Thank you, she looks like my mothers side of the family." Then come the confused looks. Its funny! :)

Wow, so great - I love how his little hands are as he walks.

BTW - I loved your comment at the end 'is that what you are doing at the night when you aren't sleeping'.

Is it getting better yet? i bet it will with walking as he will be a lot more tired?? maybe?

Holy cow! Next step...a marathon? I love your little comment about practicing at night when he isn't sleeping.

Oh Matthew, you're full of amazing surprises and we can't wait till your mama blogs us about the next one.

Yippppeee Matthew...that was really quite. And I ditto what I said before..watch out because he will soon start running. And I admire the talent with walking holding his toy...it actually is quite hard to do. Great job...you must be proud mamma! Kristie
