What was that theory/prediction/old wives' tale I've heard so often that once a baby starts walking, he wears himself out and sleeps better??????????? Did I miss the sign up? Did I forget to pay the extra fee? Did I not read the fine print? Matthew is back to waking at 3:30/4:00 am.

Hi Tish,

I just had to comment on this....I think my Nathan and your Matthew are kindred spirits! As I stated on a previous post(before Matthew was walking)to watch out because if he's like mine, once he starts he'll be off like he's been walking for months.....looks like it happened!

OK, now for the sleeping...Nathan walked when he was ~14 months old and he didn't sleep through the night until 4 months later.....also an early riser bright eyed at 4:30-5:00am! I still remember that feeling in the morning.

Hey, look on the bright side....once Nate, started school (doesn't it figure), he FINALLY aquired the taste for 'sleeping in';-)

Ugh, I don't think I ever heard that ole wive's tale. Don't feel so bad , Trey my 6 yr old has trouble staying asleep, when he wakes in the middle of the night he runs to our room and jumps in our bed right in the middle.

I guess you could try the nap when he naps thing.

Must be the moon phase right now or something. Grant started waking up again too... after being so good and sleeping through for about 3 weeks. I was never more frustrated when I heard the wailing starting at about 3 AM. My body was finally adjusting to a good night's sleep!!!! Ugh!

Let's hope it's a temporary glitch!!

All I can say I feel your pain. Yu-Lin has always gotten up at 4:30 in the morning, hates going to sleep and hates taking a nap!! Uggghhh... Kristie
