You can take the mama out of the nightshift...
but you can't take the nightshift out of the mama. Matthew has had almost a full week of rough nights in a row, so my dear husband took the nightshift for me last night. I'm sure I was sleeping away just fine when BING my eyes flew open at 3:19am! I strained to listen for any noises...I contemplated turning on the monitor to hear...but there I was wide awake on my night off. I took the time to pray for single moms who never get a night off...that God would give them an extra dose of patience and strength. And then I laid there some more...by the time 5:00am rolled around I was getting panicky...singing "time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin' into the future...as I realized my night o' sleep was quickly fading away. But then I must have drifted off shortly after that....having one dream that I was helping Pierce Brosnan fix a water problem in China by finding the source of the problem in a well in Burma (they were low on sand)...and a dream where I was telling other people dreams I had about them (I guess that is a double dreamy dream). Anyway...I woke up this morning pretty refreshed...and Scott said that Matthew's night wasn't too bad! Hopefully we're moving in a positive direction!
