M & I picked up some kind of unfriendly bug during our recent travels, so we've been down for the count as of late. I guess it's pretty much a cold but with bloody noses. Odd. Poor little M had a rough night...the Thermoscan said 103.9 at first reading. I know fevers are the body's way of fighting the junk, but at that high I always wonder if his brain is gonna fry like an egg.
So how was everyone's weekend? Any fun excursions to celebrate the spring weather? Any new adoption news for you waiting mamas?
We had a lovely weekend despite having Kleenexes stuffed up our nostrils. Some highlights:
- planting new flowers in our courtyard
- attending the pre-Grand Opening of our favorite restaurant...just a 5 minute walk from our house! Cha-ching!
- playing on the shower floor with M as steamy water poured over my throbbing head
- falling more in love with my baby as I held him...his face flush from fever, his little lips like plump cherries, and his sweaty hair as black as midnight
- feeling God working in my heart...in my life...and being excited about the changes He will bring
Matthew's new PASSIONS: wearing his towel as a hat and dunking balls:

OH- I'm sorry to hear you've all been sick! But, it sounds like you've managed to have a good weekend in spite of it!
I love that last picture of Matthew dunking the ball! :)
Hope this bug is short lived for you both. Hate the high fevers! It's extra tough trying to take care of a sick one when you yourself are not feeling well;-(.
Hang in there!
Hope you are all back to your old selves, soon. Love the towel hat!

It must have been something you got in Illinois. We have had the junk around here too. But, please, don't let that stop you from coming to visit. I'm still looking forward to being able to catch up with you on one of these trips!
yep...I am up and doing daycare already. I only closed for the three days I was in the hospital. In fact, when we had to take James back to the hospital for the jaundice, I went with him and Darren ran the daycare. I have found this is the bad thing about being self-employed. If I close, I won't get paid, therefore, can not pay my bills. :(
Hope you guys are all feeling better.
Sorry you both are feeling yucky. Sounds like a nice weekend. Hopefully you will be feeling great soon!!
Eeeww...no fun when you and baby are sick!!! Hope you are all feeling better. Love the pictures with Matthew wearing the towel on his head as his new hat...just adorable. Seems like you got yourself a future basketball player on your hands : ) Kristie
