Waiting. Whether waiting for a SW to complete your homestudy, or waiting for news on an important matter, or waiting for a check in the mail, for most of us waiting leads to impatience. And, whether we mean it to or not, impatience reveals a lack of trust in and surrender to God.
Below is an excerpt from a Proverbs 31 devotional I received by email in which Amy Carroll recounts Sarah's impatience with God when His promise of a child is not fulfilled in her expected timeframe.I know Sarah and I are not alone in our desire for God to hurry up. I once heard it said that we are people with gods on our wrists. In Isaiah 55:9, God says, “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (NIV) God’s timing is part of His ways. I may be tapping my watch, but He is never late. He may seem slow, but He is always right on time.
Has God made a promise to you that is slow in coming? Has He planted a dream in your heart that has yet to come to fruition? Don’t give up hope! God is faithful, and you can rely on His perfect timing. Fix your eyes on Him and enjoy the journey to your destination. There are things to be learned along the way that will enhance the joy of a promise fulfilled.
May you wait in perfect patience...and in perfect peace.

Amen sista!!!
Thank you so much for sharing that. I am sure it will bless others like it blessed me!!!
Amy is right. God is never late - He is always right on time. Awesome reminders.
Love you.

Ouch- that one hurts, but is SO encouraging at the same time!!! I'm so thankful that God is right on time! I just have to be a girl who stops living by the motto: "When you're early you're on time; when you're on time, you're late." (Nice little motto for things like getting to church, but not so much for the BIG stuff in life!)
I'm printing this reminder for myself!
Wow Tish, that really hit the spot for me. I really needed to hear that exact thing at this exact moment. I am certain that God uses your kind heart, perfect timing, uncanny memory, and great wit to spread His message.
