I think this is my millionth post about sleep. Or actually about the lack of sleep. Since Matthew has been home, he has had 3 periods of decent sleep...each lasting about 4-5 nights. Then he has times of crazy restlessness where he doesn't actually get up, but he lays there and yells "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" very, very, very loudly. And he also has his stretches of time where every night he gets up for 2-3 hours per night to play. It seems as if it is starting to show as a cycle: night playing leads to exhaustion which leads to good sleep which, when well-rested, leads to the restlessness. Last night he was up almost the entire night with short "catnaps" throughout...and today it is showing! For example, he burst into melodramatic teenage girl tears when he was playing with my perfume and I said "Be gentle."
I keep checking his gums for teeth...but, so far, there's nothing. Scott says this is good because then he has less time to get cavities! He is starting to want what we eat instead of his baby food and, for some unknown reason, he does NOT want to drink out of a cup at all. Well...I hear him crying...he's only been down for 30 minutes...not nearly long enough for him...or for me!

I am so sorry about the sleep, I wish I had some advice, but as you know I don't!!
I will say though that I love the look on his face in that first pictures. His eyes are amazing in that shot.
You poor thing! I mean... Matthew come on?! You don't wan't mama to have bags under her eye's! Hope last night you got a better nights rest:)
I sure hope he grows out of this quick Tish!! How are you coping with so little sleep??? I'm sure catnaps all night for Matthew means catnaps all night for Mama!!
Ugh!
Just slip a little whisky into his bottle before bed... that will take care of it. That's my advice. (I HOPE YOU KNOW I AM JOKING!!!!)
And WOW are those cute pictures!!! He is going to break some hearts! Such a handsome little man. :)
He is just so handsome...
I really feel your pain on the sleeping. Of course, I'm getting good sleep now. But Callum was a terrible night player. I had to take literally everything out of his crib or he would just start playing with things. Drove me nuts to hear giggles at 2am. And of course followed by tears.
Here's hoping he sleeps better soon. And he's not like Mia who didn't sleep through the night until 14 months. ICK!!!!
Man, I wish I could tell you some secret, but every child is jus so different. You know what got Mia to sleep through the night though --- Daddy going in there and telling her nicely to go to sleep. 3 nights of that, after I finally hit the wall, stopped her. Should've done it much earlier, I guess. :(
Good luck!!!
I came over from Stefanie's blog to see yours - it's lovely and your son is a sweetie!
Sorry about the sleep issue. My daughter didn't sleep well for 1st year home - it's tough! I pretty much obsessed about it constantly. And sleep still isn't her best thing.
It will get better...
