inevitable

It's inevitable that...

when baby is anywhere within 25 feet of you and begins to fall, he will miraculously turn into Stretch Armstrong and somehow grab your eyelid, hair, or neck skin on the way down

while baby refuses to eat the last of the peas on his plate, like a heat seeking missle he will immediately find every pea that he dropped on the floor and will shovel them in his mouth as if he hasn't eaten in days

when you decide to give baby a bowl of water to wash his toy dishes while you wash yours, he will spill the bowl of water and, before you can grab a towel, he will walk across the water, slip and fall, hitting his head on the tile turning the 5 minutes that it would have taken you to simply wash the dishes into a 30 minute messy, fussy ordeal

Do you have any "inevitables" to share?

it's inevitable that as soon as your done washing the floor, apple juice is spilled and corn starch is turned upside down and stepped in, only to track white feet all through the house as your trying to chase him down......

If you pay to have your carpets professionally cleaned, it is inevitable that one of your kids will vomit on them within 24 hours.....and if you are really lucky, they'll do it during a power outage on your first night in your new home when you have no idea where the candles OR the carpet cleaner are! (Can you tell I'm speaking from experience??)

It's inevitable that when you're at the post office, within 3 minutes your toddler boy will succeed in scattering USPS brochures all over the floor, knocking over a stack of boxes, and pooping a huge smelly poop that leaks out of his diaper and stinks up the whole post office.

(Don't worry, none got on your package...) :)

It's inevitable...your son comes to you exasperated and says "Mom, I've looked EVERYWHERE for my favorite shirt and can't seem to find it. You go into his room, find all his shirts pulled out of his drawer and somehow seem to find it in the middle of the mess in a matter of seconds!

It's inevitable that your toddler will wind up with a mysterious scratch on their cheek, just prior to a trip to the professional photographers....or family reunion...or insert any other big event!
