Happy Anniversary baby, I've got you on my mind!

Like many of my post titles, this one was meant to be sung...if you are old like me and know the tune, that is.

August 10 marks our TWO YEAR anniversary since our China Log In Date. Two years. And the wait just keeps on keepin' on. At this point China has matched families through January 25, 2006. Rumor Queen believes that the next group of referrals is only matched through January 27! Woohoo! Two whole that's progress.

We continue to seek God's will in this and, while I would love a brother for Matthew, I'm honestly not sure what the future holds. There are many unknowns with China. Concerning Taiwan, at this point I am not comfortable with the program we previously used. (If you have questions about this, feel free to email me). And I hear the wait is growing for other countries while some programs have completely shut down.

On top of it all is the possibility that God's plan for our family is simply the three of us. Perhaps He is calling us to serve in ways that would be difficult with more children. Short-term missions? Visiting orphanages? Giving more to those in need?

I still keep up with our agency's WC list...looking for that face that says, "You've found me!" And we have no intentions of pulling out of China. But, for once, I don't want to push it...don't want to try to exert my will over God's. He knows the deepest desires of my heart, and I don't. I really don't. But I trust that He is going to amaze me as He fulfills them.

Well said. I totally understand...completely. Our 2 years is coming up in October.

I am hoping the 1/27 rumor is untrue.

I love your heart, Tish. The Lord is in control and He's got it perfectly planned. We waited and suffered through our processes, too, and I remember how hard it was, so here's a big {HUG} from SoCal!

I can't wait to see what HE has in store for your family. I'm sure it is something amazing!

That is a great attitude to have. I had it in 2003 and he took me to China for almost 5 years to love MANY Chinese children! Good luck as you "listen" to God and what He wants you to do-

As always Tish, your grounded faith and trust in His plan is inspiring. I'm positive God will give you the desires of your heart in His time and manner. Sending hugs:-)!

Hhmmmmmm....what's the right word for an anniversary of this sort?

Truly, I'm right where you are. I keep having the urge to DO something about our family plan. but, that's just it, I don't want anything to do with "our" family plan. I want His family plan for us. That is my heart's desire. So, I am exerting my will to wait on the Lord for further direction. It's so easy for me to want to make another plan for what we'll do "in the meanwhile". But, I have no peace- which is a huge way of saying, "Be still, would ya?"

It's hard though. Thankfully, like you, I'm already a mom and that is an amazing blessing to focus on as we wait for what the Lord has in store. I know you can't wait to know, and neither can I.

God will honor that "stillness" and waiting on Him... keep listening. :) Isn't it comforting to know that His plan for you & your family was there... before the world began??? It's all happening just like it was meant to.

Love ya!

Tish..I loved this post. We are in the same boat..not the China part..but as far as a sibling for Yu-Lin. We have left it in God's hands that whatever path he has for us will be and it just may be to be a family of three as well.
