a little bedtime story for you

Tonight M had his first BIG spill...falling face first onto the tile...bloody, bloody, bloody nose.

We are excited for Fall Festival tomorrow at our church! M is going as a MONKEY! But...he already outgrew his costume!!! Not kidding. I bought it awhile back since I was unsure how often we'd need to travel to IL, and I didn't want to miss out on getting it...and now it is too small. Today we made treat bags for the kids on our street, and we're going to deliver them tomorrow. Will post photos!

WINNER!!! I won a free photography class with Christi at Rawsii!!! I think there are still spots open if you are interested! I am really excited. My goal is to get good enough to take unique, quality photographs for families who cannot afford to have their pictures taken by a professional. A guy we know serves in an amazing ministry in which he moved into a rough neighborhood and brought the love of Christ to the people living there. It's been a total transformation! These are some of the people I would like to bless...so pray that Christi can teach me to focus in manual!!!!

edited2add: Here is a site I checked out last night and wanted to share since I am always looking for new ways to give away your money! HAHA! http://onemillioncan.com/ I loved all the causes, but I was especially diggin' this video: http://megavoice.com/indexvid.php ... I just wanted to give all those people a BIG HUG!

And it goes a little somethin' like this:

Just in case you were wondering how the water in the fountain squirts up out of the ground, Matthew describes it here:

"E" is for Einstein

OK...I'm totally not trying to be that mom with bumper stickers all over my blog saying "My kid is on the honor roll..."

but I'm just seriously amazed at what M can do (when he is happy, fed, and well-rested, that is!).

On the morning of this video I had actually shown M the puzzle E because it was on the floor and asked him to find the magnet E. I honestly didn't think he would...I was just trying to keep him busy while I made breakfast. But he found it on the first try! So later in the afternoon I mixed up the letters and had him try it again...this time catching it on video!

BTW, one of my favorite things is that the bottom third of our refrigerator is all scratched and scarred from the magnet letters. For some reason it just makes my heart happy!

Vid-E-Oh2!

Since it seemed like the last video was well-received by many little ones thinking they were seeing themselves on the screen, I thought I would post this video which I have titled "Cleaning Time is Serious Time". Maybe it will trick your kids into thinking that they like to help with housework, too!

Matthew Pao-palooza

OK...more video...and one of them is long...but my mom loved the last one so much that she called and wanted to buy me a Crate & Barrel gift card!!!! Expect a lot of videos from now on!
Just jokes!

I call this video montage "shake it, don't break it, took your mama 9 months to go through the adoption process." Matthew loves to shake everything he can....the cart at Target, the kitchen table, and especially his bed. When I go in to get him up, he is usually shaking his bed, so then I do it too. It never fails that when I shake it...because I shake it harder...he becomes quite concerned about "Lamby" (his little lamb that we sent him while he still lived in Taiwan), and he always wants to kiss him! So here are the videos!

Earning his keep

Here is a little video of Mateo drying the kitchen floor for his allowance. It is kind of long, but I know my mom will savor every second.
