Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a program that we support--in addition to local Christmas programs--that shares Christmas love to children around the world. You get a shoebox (which is a good reason to get that new pair of winter boots you've had your eye on), pack it with all kinds of goodies and gifts, and then it is distributed to a child in need. Some people even put a photo of their family in the shoebox, and I read a story of how one couple ended up adopting the child who received their box.
